Introduction to Game Design

This workshop is an exciting opportunity for anyone who wants create their own tabletop games or video games. Imagine bringing your game ideas to life, designing your own mechanics, characters, and storylines. This workshop will cover the fundamentals of game design, from game mechanics and player controls to game logic and prototyping. You’ll learn how to use paper and digital tools to bring your designs to life and gain practical skills in creating interactive and immersive gameplay experiences.

Throughout the workshop, you will work on hands-on projects and exercises, which will give you the opportunity to apply the concepts learned and create your own games. By the end of the workshop, you will have a solid understanding of the game design process, an appreciation of different design choices that go into different types of games, and the ability to create engaging games. This workshop is an excellent starting point for students interested in pursuing a career in game development or for anyone who wants to develop their own games as a hobby.
